- Child Care Subsidy or Purchase of Care (POC)

The Purchase of Child Care (POC) program helps eligible families pay for child care. Vouchers, issued to eligible families by local departments of social services, are used to purchase care from any regulated child care center or home or from an informal provider approved by the local department. For help in locating a regulated child care provider, contact Child Care Resource Centers in your area. Parent must be employed or in school, and the child's immunizations must be up to date.
Materials to bring:
- photo ID
- proof of address (utility bill, apartment lease, etc.)
- proof of income (2 pay stubs, most benefit letter for government checks)
- Social Security cards for everyone seeking benefits
- if you are a student - proof of enrollment
- if you are a single parent - provide proof that you have met child support requirements

Federally funded program aimed to imporve school readiness of low-income children. Early Head Start Programs are for children age 8 weeks to 3 years of age, Regular Head Start programs are for children aged 3 until school age.

- Therapeutic Nursery (Kennedy Krieger Institute)
