Child Advocacy Center of Susquehanna Valley: Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) seek to investigate, prosecute and treat cases of child abuse utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. The Child Advocacy Center of the Central Susquehanna Valley

The Child Advocacy Center of the Central Susquehanna Valley, a division of the Janet Weis Children's Hospital, was created to help reduce the number of interviews being conducted during child abuse investigations. The CAC offers victims interviews by trained forensic interviewers as well as medical examinations, and crisis intervention counseling. This allows for a comprehensive investigation that both respects the overall health of the child and increases the likelihood of successful prosecution of the offender.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Children's Advocacy Project (CAP) is to help bridge the gap between the many quality social service agencies in the Central Susquehanna Valley area and the families that need their help the most. To bridge this gap, we aim to empower and to inform those that care for the children of Central Susquehanna Valley through this web site. The CAP will assist families, health care professionals, and social service providers by furnishing the tools necessary to connect families in need to the appropriate social service agencies that serve them.
