Africentric Personal Development Shop (APDS) Imhotep Learning Institute
Offers after school and summer day camp programs for youth ages 6 to 12 at Hope Lutheran Church. During the school year, free after school activities are offered Monday through Friday. During the summer, APDS operates a 10-week summer day camp. Meals are included. The program itself is offered free of charge, but there is a mandatory one time activity fee per child for the summer session.

Offers academic programs and a safe place to learn and play after school from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Capital University students provide homework help, and programs are offered in anger management, substance abuse, violence prevention and recreation. Columbus Recreation & Parks School’s Out Program
Columbus Recreation and Parks operates 31 recreations centers throughout Columbus. The School's Out summer program allows children ages 6 to 14 to take part in a variety of activities all day, Monday through Friday, at 4 recreation centers in Columbus. This program is open to residents of Columbus that meet certain income guidelines, and the cost is only $25 per week per child. Communities in Schools ELITE Program
Minority male students within selected Columbus and Whitehall schools meet weekly at school for about an hour, either during school hours or after school. Community for New Direction
Their after school groups for youth ages 5 to 14 meet for 32 weeks to discuss many topics, including violence and drug prevention. Association for the Developmentally Disabled (ADD) Buckeye Connections Summer Camp
Offers a day camp for high school students ages 14 to 17 with various disabilities that runs from mid-June to mid-August. The camp takes place at OSU, and participants get to interact with OSU students and explore campus life. Transportation is available. The Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities' Family Resource Department may be able to offer help with fees.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Special Care Camp
Special Care Camp in Hocking Hills is an overnight camp for children ages 6 to 14 who need closer supervision due to learning disabilities, ADHD, behavior disorders, physical disabilities or a combination of disabilities. The cost is about $40 per day, but reduced fees are available for children enrolled with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Epilepsy Foundation of Central Ohio Camp Firebird
This week-long, overnight camp for youth ages 7 to 17 with epilepsy is held at Recreation Unlimited in Ashley, Ohio. In addition to enjoying regular camp activities, campers improve their knowledge of seizures. Camp for Champs is a 3-hour day camp during the summer for children ages 4 to 12 with epilepsy. Northwest Kiwanis Special Needs Activity Camp for Kids (SNACK)
