Provides birth parents the option to leave an infant (up to 30 days old) with a medical worker in a hospital, a medical worker at a fire department or other emergency service organization, or a peace officer at a law enforcement agency. Offers free, confidential nationwide support for women who are having complicated pregnancies or premature births. The toll-free hotline can match pregnant women with a volunteer who has previously experienced a similar pregnancy complication. Helps women who are having their first baby. A specially trained nurse visits a mom in her home while she is pregnant and until her baby is 2 years old. The program is free. Clinics are located throughout Ohio and offer pregnancy services, birth control, emergency contraception, HIV and STD testing, and women’s health services. In Columbus, there are 3 locations. The Franklinton Health Center on West Broad Street has walk-in hours on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. for teens 19 and under. Free anonymous HIV testing is available during the walk-in hours on the 4th Wednesday of the month. The clinics see patients Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay.
