FREE Home Safety Inspection-Injury Prevention Program City of Phila
A Home Safety Inspection is a free service provided by The City of Philadelphia Health Department’s Injury Prevention Program. To receive an inspection, the occupant must be a resident of Philadelphia. The inspection includes a check for Carbon Monoxide (CO) leaks and hot water temperature measurement, a visual inspection where the inspectors check for slip and fall hazards, electrical overloads, loose and or broken steps and handrails, the proper number of smoke/ fire alarms and Carbon Monoxide detectors, proper lighting, proper medication and chemical storage. The occupant is provided with a fire/smoke detector, carbon monoxide (CO) detector, a night-light and a bath mat.

Cribs for Kids
A program of the Maternity Care Coalition that provides cribs for needy families in Philadelphia to help reduce the deaths due to SIDS and improper sleep environment. Cribs are provided to families who are otherwise unable to purchase one.
