Youth Services Network, Inc
Serves youth ages 0-21. YSN addresses mental health and trauma issues by providing counseling, intensive case management, mentoring, tutoring, transportation, and recreation in order to reduce the impact of abuse and life stressors on children and families. YSN also promotes cooperation among social service agencies by providing wrap-around services to children in Winnebago and Boone counties. 24-hour on-call system for emergencies, such as youth who have run away from home, youth who are locked out by their parents, or youth who are homeless. Behavioral Health Resources is a full-service outpatient program. Staff psychiatrists provide diagnostic evaluation and medication management for children and adolescents. Licensed counselors and licensed social workers provide individual, family, and group therapies. Partial hospitalization and inpatient programs include psychiatric units for adolescents. Outpatient program open 8am-7pm M-Th, 8am-5pm F. Inpatient&partial hospitalization program accept Medicaid, outpatient program does not. 30% discount for people who do not have mental health insurance coverage.

University Of Illinois College Of Medicine At Rockford: Psychiatric Service
Licensed social workers, licensed counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists provide diagnosis and/or therapy for children as young as 2 and families. Treatment for: Autism spectrum, developmental disorders, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Asperger’s syndrome, depression/anxiety, trauma, and school related issues. Also offered: clinical hypnosis, diagnostic evaluation, pharmacotherapy. Collaborates with The Autism Program, a division of Easter Seals. Open by appointment-some evening and Saturday hours. Psychiatrists accept Medicaid and most insurance. Social workers and counselors do not take Medicaid, but offer discounts for Medicaid clients and uninsured.

Streamwood Behavioral Health - Rock River Residential Center
A residential facility which offers specialized treatment services for female adolescents, ages 10-21, who are experiencing significant emotional, social and/or behavioral difficulties. Offers long-term therapeutic environment for female adolescents with long-standing behavioral health problems with a balance of therapies and activities in a safe, structured setting. Each adolescent receives individual wrap-around care led by a psychiatrist and administered by a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, teachers and mental health counselors to address all medical, psychiatric, social, and academic needs of the adolescent. All Rock River residents attend the Rock River Academy therapeutic day school or attend public schools within the community.

Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC)
Juvenile Justice Services - TASC works with youth in the juvenile justice system who may be abusing drugs or alcohol. TASC juvenile justice services are specifically tailored to young people and their unique needs. Adolescent and School-Health services work with youth in the community who are at risk of school dropout or have demonstrated risky behavior related to alcohol, other drugs, or violence. A grass-roots self-help, non-profit organization of the Northern Illinois region. Affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and NAMI Illinois. Dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with severe mental illness and their families through education, support, and advocacy. Membership provides: support and small groups to share ideas and concerns for those whose friends and family members have brain disorders; newletters with important local and national information; and monthly programs featuring mental health related topics. Free education classes include: Family-to-Family; Peer to Peer; In Our Own Voice; and Visions for Tomorrow.
