The mission of Catch a Falling Star is to strengthen the physical and social skills of children with disabilities while promoting inclusion in every day living. Catch a Falling Star is a unique recreational/fun center open after-school, in the evenings and on weekends to children with and without disabilities ages 2-14.

- Lift for Life Gym

Lift for Life Gym is an afternoon program open free of charge for boys and girls between the ages of 8 to 18. Lift for Life Gym focuses on activities such as weightlifting, track, jump rope, and general fitness. Life for Life Gym also offers a variety of recreational activities such as gardening, monthly birthday parties, spelling bees, skating, movies, parties, and more.

No one is turned away from programs at Neighborhood Houses for their inability to pay. Fees are based on a sliding scale and scholarships are available.

County Youth Programs plans, develops, and provides service for children and youth. The Dropout Initiative has a multi-component program called Doors to Success which serves ages 16 to 24 in areas where the rate of high school dropout is high. The comprehensive model includes outreach, case management, GED preparation, remedial education, job readiness and placement, life skills education and counseling.
The Summer Food Service Program for Children provides nutritious breakfasts and lunches at community sites for children ages 3 to 15.
The Outstanding Student Leadership Program involves county high schools in indentifying and recognizing seniors considered leaders in academics, athletics, and community service.
