Through classes, monthly group meetings, and time spent with volunteer mentors, young moms and dads develop parenting and life skills that reduce their risk of child abuse and neglect and boost their self-esteem. Requirements: younger than 21, pregnant or parenting a child younger than two, a Missouri state resident, committed to working toward goals that will improve life and parenting skills, willing to spend at least six hours a month with a volunteer mentor once the matching process is complete.
