Children's Hospital Help Line
The 454.KIDS Answer Line is offered by St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dedicated to giving health advice and information pertaining to children from newborn to twenty-one years of age. Offers: advice and instructions if your child is sick, tips to assist you in understanding your child’s growth and development, help in finding a St. Louis Children’s Hospital pediatrician or pediatric specialist, registration for classes and events offered by St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

This network provides education on issues related to grandparents raising grandchildren and relatives who are caregivers, helps connect grandparents and relatives who are caregivers to community resources and facilitates networking among service providers to improve their ability to help grandparents and relatives who are caregivers cope with the challenges of raising children.

Missouri Mentoring Program
Through classes, monthly group meetings, and time spent with volunteer mentors, young moms and dads develop parenting and life skills that reduce their risk of child abuse and neglect and boost their self-esteem. Requirements: younger than 21, pregnant or parenting a child younger than two, a Missouri state resident, committed to working toward goals that will improve life and parenting skills, willing to spend at least six hours a month with a volunteer mentor once the matching process is complete.
