Advocacy Definition
The process of asserting oneself or interceding on behalf of others within a system to get the benefits for which they are eligible. Through both direct aid to families and broader-based policy work, the goal of advocacy is to foster the self-empowerment of families by educating them about their own rights.

  1. Download cap4kids.zip.
  2. Unzip the cap4kids.zip file.
  3. Launch your Palm Desktop tool.
  4. On the left-hand side of the application window you will see "Install." Click on "Install."
  5. NOTE: On Mac Palm Desktop select "Install Handheld Files..." from the HotSync menu.
  6. A dialog box will pop up. Click on "Add."
  7. Browse to the "capp4kids" file you unzipped. Select capp4kids.pdb (double-click on it).
  8. Click "Done." Then click OK.
  9. HotSync your Palm OS device as you normally do.
  10. Launch the Palm Reader software on your Palm OS device. It will prompt you to open a book.
  11. Select the "capp4kids.pdb" file.
