Customers must be at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty and meet program criteria.<br \/>\n<strong>HEAP Winter Crisis<\/strong>: Runs from November &#8211; March. Helps customers who have been threatened with disconnection, have been disconnected, need to establish new service, have PIPP default, or have less than 25% supply of bulk fuel.<br \/>\n<strong>HEAP Summer Crisis<\/strong>: Runs from July -September. Provides assistance with electric utility bills, central air conditioning repairs, and air conditioning unit\/fan purchases.<br \/>\n<strong>Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP)<\/strong>: Fixes monthly utility payments for natural gas or electric to 5-10% of your gross household income. Paying on-time and in-full each month reduces your outstanding balance. If you make 24 on-time and in-full payments, your outstanding balance with your utility company will be eliminated.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications for HEAP and PIPP programs may be completed online or with a Local Energy Assistance Provider. Providers in Franklin County are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cap4kids.org\/columbus\/breathing-association\/\">The Breathing Association<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cap4kids.org\/columbus\/impact\/\">IMPACT Community Action.<\/a><br \/>\nAll Ohio Energy Assistance Providers: <a href=\"https:\/\/development.ohio.gov\/individual\/energy-assistance\/energy-assistance-providers\">development.ohio.gov\/individual\/energy-assistance\/energy-assistance-providers<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP)<\/strong>:\u00a0 Provides home inspection and home weatherization services (such as furnace repair, insulation, appliance checks) to help reduce energy costs. Households must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Priority is given to Ohioans over 60 years old, with disabilities, with children in the home, or with high energy usage\/burden.
