Adolescent Specialized Treatment and Recovery Team (A-START)

The Adolescent Specialized Treatment and Recovery Team (A-START) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia helps teens and young adults who have problems with using drugs or alcohol. A-START works with the whole family and looks at the strengths of each person. The team evaluates patients, helps them find the right care, and gives medical treatment when needed. The team has doctors who specialize in teen health and addiction, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, and social workers.
