Urban Strings Columbus

A youth orchestra supporting underserved, urban, African American and minority youth to become string musicians. Membership requires an audition and monthly fee. Musicians ages 11-18 located in Columbus are eligible to audition. They offer Half Notes group for intermediate musicians and Premier Group for advanced musicians. Musicians perform classical, sacred, R&B, hip-hop, and contemporary styles. They perform at events and venues around the community. Visit the website to contact the organization.
