BOLD Girl Collective (Formerly Brown Girls Mentoring)

Provides mentoring and empowerment programs for girls grades K-9 to build confidence, self-awareness, resiliency, character development, and sisterhood. They focus on girls from historically marginalized communities to help every girl recognize her inherent value. The group mentoring program includes guest speakers, social-emotional learning, and fun activities. Family participation is encouraged. The group meets weekly for 6-week sessions held September through April at various Columbus Parks and Recreation Community Centers. Enrollment begins each July through the Columbus Parks and Recreation website. There is a small fee for each 6-week session, and families may apply for a PLAY Scholarship for fee assistance. BOLD Girl Collective also hosts community-wide events throughout the year for girls of all ages.
