Community Services for the Deaf (CSD) Summer Camps

Community Services for the Deaf (CSD) is a program of Family Services in Dayton, Ohio. They host free summer camp experiences at YMCA Camp Kern each summer. CSD Deaf Camp is for children ages 9-16 who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Deaf Camp staff are a mix of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Kids of Deaf Adults. All staff are fluent in ASL. CSD KODA Camp is for children ages 9-16 who are kids of Deaf adults, and camp staff are prior campers. Campers experience activities focused on critical thinking, resilience, and community. Meals, lodging, and activities are free, however transportation to camp is not provided. Applications for camps typically open in March or April.
