UMCF (Formerly UMCH Family Services)

Program: Provides personalized, trauma-informed support programs for children and families across Ohio. Programs include foster care, foster parent training, adoption, independent living, outpatient mental health treatment, home-based services, psychiatry, and more. Outpatient mental health services are designed for children and families impacted by trauma. The Intensive Home-Based Treatment program provides crisis stabilization for serious emotional or behavioral difficulties to reduce the need for out-of-home placement. They also offer Behavioral Health Occupational Therapy services in Franklin County.
Eligibility: Ages 4-18 for mental health services. Ages 0-12 for foster care. Serves Franklin, Fairfield, Madison, Clark, Champaign, Greene, Delaware, Union, Montgomery, Hamilton, Butler, and Warren Counties. Services vary by county.
Cost: Accepts Medicaid and most commercial insurance. Medicaid coverage is required for some programs.
Referral: Referrals can be made directly through the website, by phone, or walk-in.
