YWCA York supports families in three different school districts in York County by providing before-and/or after-school care as well as full-day care for school-age students (Kindergarten through 6th grade, except where noted) when school is out of session. At our school-age sites, staff members work cooperatively with the schools to meet families’ needs. We strive to create an environment where students can get what they need before and after school — fun and active outdoor play; creative arts; engaging, child-directed projects; support in homework; opportunities to practice emerging pro-social and leadership skills; and a safe place to build friendships and solid relationships with adults. Breakfast and snack are also provided.
